Night Nanny / Newborn Care Specialist – Battersea Square, SW11

Working hours: 8:00pm–8:00am, six nights per week

Burlington Nannies is delighted to be working with a first-time family based in Battersea Square, London, who are seeking an experienced, calm and confident Night Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist to provide professional overnight care for their newborn.

The mother intends to breastfeed and would appreciate a knowledgeable and reassuring practitioner who can work collaboratively with her, supporting overnight feeds and helping to establish gentle, consistent routines while prioritising rest for both parents.

Responsibilities

• Providing full overnight care for the newborn

• Supporting the mother with breastfeeding, including settling and positioning guidance when requested

• Managing overnight feeds in accordance with the mother’s preferences

• Establishing gentle and consistent sleep and settling routines

• Monitoring the baby’s wellbeing and promptly communicating any concerns

• Maintaining a calm, organised and supportive environment overnight

• Keeping accurate records of feeds, sleep and nappy changes

• Providing the parents with a clear handover each morning

Candidate requirements

• Substantial hands-on newborn experience

• A proven track record as a Night Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist

• Strong knowledge of breastfeeding support and newborn sleep patterns

• A calm, confident and reassuring manner

• Excellent communication and observational skills

• Flexible, reliable and discreet

• Relevant childcare qualifications and excellent references

• Full right to work in the UK

This is an excellent short-term placement for an experienced night practitioner who is confident supporting first-time parents and a breastfeeding mother.
