Burlington Nannies is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a lovely new client based near Benenden, Kent, who is seeking an experienced, confident and engaging Part-Time Nanny to care for their two children, aged 4 months and 3 years.
The role will predominantly involve care of the baby, as the eldest child attends a local nursery. The position will be a combination of sole charge and shared care, and the nanny should be comfortable working alongside Mum, who is respectful and supportive.
The Role
This position would suit a warm, proactive and creative nanny with excellent experience caring for both babies and pre-school-aged children.
The family is looking for someone with a strong understanding of early years development who can confidently support the children through their important developmental stages while creating a happy, nurturing and engaging environment.
Key Duties
Providing attentive and nurturing care for a 4-month-old baby and 3-year-old child
Supporting feeding routines, bottle preparation and sterilising
Supporting the baby through the introduction of solids and weaning
Changing nappies and assisting with potty training when appropriate
Preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks
Planning engaging, creative and developmentally appropriate activities
Maintaining consistent daily routines
Supporting the children's development, wellbeing and independence
Occasional babysitting, subject to availability
Candidate Requirements
Previous professional experience caring for both babies and pre-school-aged children
Confident and knowledgeable in early years care and child development
Warm, engaging, organised and creative
Comfortable working in both sole charge and shared care arrangements
A driver is preferred, as the family home is not conveniently located for public transport
Flexibility to provide occasional babysitting would be appreciated
Hours, Salary & Start Date
Hours: 20–25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact days and hours will be discussed at interview.
Start Date: As soon as possible
