A warm and down-to-earth family in Kensington is seeking two professional and experienced Rota Nannies to provide consistent care across a two-week rotation.
The nannies will be responsible for three of the family’s five children: an 11-month-old baby and two children aged five and seven, who both attend school full-time.
This is a rewarding opportunity for nurturing, creative and energetic nannies who genuinely enjoy spending time with children and would like to develop a long-term relationship with a family.
The role
The parents are hands-on, particularly at weekends, and the household is also supported by a Governess from Monday to Thursday and a Housekeeper on Fridays.
The successful nannies must be equally comfortable taking sole charge and working collaboratively alongside the parents and other household staff. Strong communication and an organised, team-focused approach will be essential to maintaining continuity between rotations.
Key responsibilities
Providing attentive, age-appropriate care for the baby and school-age children.
Managing the children’s daily routines, personal care and developmental needs.
Supporting the baby through important developmental milestones.
Completing school runs and assisting with homework where required.
Planning creative, educational and stimulating activities.
Organising outings, playdates and age-appropriate experiences.
Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for the children.
Batch cooking and planning children’s meals for the week when appropriate.
Maintaining the children’s bedrooms, play areas, clothing and belongings.
Communicating clearly with the parents, household staff and the other rota nanny.
Maintaining detailed handover notes to ensure consistency between rotations.
Travelling with the family when required.
Candidate requirements
Significant professional nanny experience with both babies and school-age children.
Previous rota experience is strongly preferred.
Confident working in sole charge and as part of a wider household team.
Warm, nurturing, engaging and genuinely passionate about childcare.
Creative and enthusiastic, with plenty of ideas for play and learning.
Highly organised, proactive and an excellent communicator.
A confident cook with a good understanding of children’s nutrition.
A clean UK driving licence—essential for school runs.
Comfortable travelling with the family.
Fluent English; French, Spanish or Russian would be an advantage.
Right to work in the UK.
Up-to-date paediatric first-aid qualification.
Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Excellent, verifiable professional references.
