Professional Career Nanny – South Kensington

Burlington Nannies is working with a lovely new family based in South Kensington who is seeking a professional and dedicated career Nanny. This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for someone who would enjoy becoming a valued part of a warm and welcoming family.
The family has two children, a boy and a girl aged 6 and 9. Both children are active, sporty and a delight to care for. The position will involve a combination of sole and shared care.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 7:00pm.
Flexibility will also be required for approximately two evenings of babysitting per month and occasional proxy parenting.
Accommodation
The position may be offered on either a live-in or live-out basis.
For a live-in Nanny, the family provides a self-contained basement flat with a separate entrance and direct access to the garden.
Responsibilities
The Nanny will be responsible for all areas of the children’s care, including:
Managing the children’s wardrobes and laundry
Keeping toys, bedrooms and play areas organised
Driving the children to school, activities and appointments
Shopping for the children’s needs
Planning fun, stimulating and age-appropriate activities
Overseeing and supporting homework
Researching and booking holiday camps and activities
Managing school and club communication
Scheduling playdates
Arranging medical appointments
Managing all other child-related administration
Travelling with the family up to four times per year
Providing occasional evening babysitting and proxy parenting
The successful candidate will be outgoing, active and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. They should be confident managing busy schedules and able to remain one step ahead.
Candidate Requirements
Previous professional experience caring for children of a similar age
Confident driver with a clean driving record
Strong swimmer
Fluent English
Current paediatric first-aid qualification
Clean enhanced DBS check
Excellent, checkable references
Comfortable travelling with the family
An automatic electric BMW will be provided for use while on duty.
