Burlington Nannies is delighted to be assisting a warm, private family in their search for two highly experienced professional rota nannies. The successful candidates will work on a one month on / one month off rotation, supporting the family between their homes in Essex, UK and Antigua.
This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced career nannies seeking a long-term role with extensive international travel.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing complete nursery care for a newborn who will be approximately one month old when the position begins.
Working closely with the parents, you will oversee every aspect of the baby's daily routine, encourage healthy development, and provide calm, confident, attentive care as the child grows through each developmental stage.
The family's Antigua residence is fully staffed, and their much-loved dogs form an important part of daily household life. Their Essex home offers a quieter, more relaxed environment.
The parents are actively involved in their child's upbringing, so the successful nanny must be equally comfortable working alongside them and confidently taking full responsibility whenever required.
As this is a highly private household, discretion, professionalism and complete confidentiality are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Providing complete nursery care
Establishing and maintaining age-appropriate routines
Supporting all developmental milestones
Preparing bottles and weaning meals when appropriate
Maintaining the nursery, wardrobe and baby equipment
Keeping detailed records of feeding, sleep and development
Travelling internationally with the family
Working collaboratively within a fully staffed household
Acting as a confident proxy parent when required
Essential Requirements
Extensive experience caring for newborns through to school-aged children
Excellent understanding of child development and developmental milestones
Native English speaker
British passport holder
Previous experience providing 24-hour care
Previous rota experience preferred
Experience travelling internationally with private families
Happy travelling between the UK and Antigua
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to read situations well
Impeccable presentation and professional manners
Positive role model for young children
Comfortable working within a fully staffed household
Absolute commitment to confidentiality and discretion
Desirable
Previous experience working within UHNW households
Conversational French or Italian
