The Position
Burlington Nannies is delighted to be working with a warm and welcoming family in Notting Hill who are seeking an experienced, nurturing and engaging Rota Nanny to care for their six-month-old baby.
This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for a dedicated nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys supporting children through their important developmental milestones.
The position operates on a two weeks on / two weeks off rota, with private accommodation provided during working weeks.
The family is looking for a nanny who combines professional experience with genuine warmth, enthusiasm and a natural ability to connect with babies. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the baby's development, establishing positive routines and creating a stimulating, loving and secure environment.
Both parents have demanding professional commitments and occasionally travel for work. The nanny must therefore be confident in sole-charge care and comfortable undertaking proxy parenting responsibilities when required.
The family also employs established rota nannies for their two older children, offering a supportive and well-organised household environment where communication, teamwork and mutual respect are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Providing attentive, loving and developmentally appropriate care for the baby.
Supporting physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through engaging activities and play.
Establishing and maintaining consistent routines for feeding, sleeping and daily activities.
Planning stimulating outings, baby classes and age-appropriate educational experiences.
Supporting the weaning process and preparing fresh, nutritious meals.
Monitoring developmental milestones and adapting activities as the baby grows.
Managing all nursery duties, including the baby's laundry, meal preparation and maintaining clean, organised children's areas.
Maintaining open and professional communication with the parents.
Providing confident sole-charge care and proxy parenting when required.
Accompanying the family on occasional holidays.
The Ideal Candidate
The family would love to welcome a nanny who is naturally warm, affectionate, positive and genuinely passionate about caring for babies.
You will be emotionally mature, intuitive and adaptable, with the ability to recognise when to encourage exploration and play and when a calmer, more nurturing approach is appropriate.
A strong understanding of infant development is essential, alongside the creativity and enthusiasm to introduce stimulating activities that encourage curiosity, confidence and independence.
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and discreet, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently while remaining a collaborative member of the wider household team.

Essential Requirements
Proven professional experience caring for babies of a similar age.
Excellent knowledge of infant development, routines and developmental milestones.
Previous sole-charge experience and confidence in proxy parenting.
Fluent English and fluency in at least one of the following languages: French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.
Legal right to work in the UK.
A warm, engaging and developmentally focused approach to childcare.
