This is a wonderful opportunity for an accomplished newborn care specialist with extensive experience supporting young infants, particularly those born prematurely. The family are seeking a knowledgeable, calm and attentive professional who understands the importance of individualised care, gentle developmental support and creating a secure, nurturing environment during a baby's earliest months.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of newborn care, premature infant development and the additional considerations involved in caring for a baby born early. An understanding of corrected age, developmental milestones, feeding patterns and safe sleep practices is particularly important.

The Role
Working closely with the parents, you will take responsibility for providing attentive, responsive and developmentally appropriate care tailored to the baby's individual needs.
Your approach should be gentle, observant and reassuring, with the confidence to establish suitable routines while remaining flexible to the baby's changing requirements.
The position is based in Oman, with separate accommodation provided. The usual working schedule will be six days per week, 12 hours per day, although flexibility is essential.
The family travel internationally, and the successful candidate must be comfortable accompanying them. During periods of travel, the position will require 24-hour cover, with appropriate rest and sleep arrangements agreed in advance.

Establish gentle, consistent daily routines suited to the baby's needs.
Encourage early sensory, physical, emotional and cognitive development through responsive interaction and appropriate activities.
Introduce supervised tummy time and gentle sensory experiences when developmentally appropriate and consistent with medical advice.
Monitor feeding patterns, sleep, behaviour and developmental progress, communicating any concerns promptly.
Maintain excellent standards of infant safety, hygiene and nursery organisation.
Work collaboratively with the parents and relevant healthcare professionals.
Adapt the baby's routines and care arrangements during international travel.
Maintain discretion, confidentiality and professionalism within the family home.

The family are looking for an experienced career nanny or maternity nurse who combines specialist newborn knowledge with a genuinely warm, patient and reassuring nature.
You will ideally offer:

Previous experience caring for premature babies and an understanding of their individual developmental requirements.
Strong knowledge of newborn feeding, sleep, safety and early developmental milestones.
An understanding of corrected age and developmentally appropriate infant care.

Experience working in private households and alongside parents.
Confidence recognising changes in an infant's wellbeing and communicating concerns appropriately.
Relevant maternity nursing, newborn care or childcare qualifications.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Previous international travel experience or a willingness to travel extensively.
Flexibility to accommodate the family's schedule, including 24-hour cover during travel with agreed rest arrangements.
A calm, patient, discreet and adaptable personality.
