Professional Housekeeper – Chigwell

Part-Time | Sunday & Monday | 8:00am–8:00pm | £20–£25 per Hour DOE

Burlington Nannies is working with a private family in Chigwell who is seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to join their household on a part-time basis.

The family live in a well-presented three-storey, five-bedroom home and regularly welcome guests. A full-time Housekeeper is already employed from Tuesday to Saturday, and this position will provide dedicated housekeeping cover on Sunday and Monday.

This role is best suited to an experienced private household Housekeeper rather than a general cleaner. Previous experience working within a private household is essential, with an understanding of the standards and attention to detail required within a formal home. Previous hotel experience would also be advantageous.

The Role

The successful Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards throughout the property and ensuring the home remains beautifully presented and organised.

Responsibilities will include:

• General housekeeping throughout the property
• Dusting, vacuuming and polishing to a high standard
• Cleaning and sanitising kitchens and bathrooms
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing bed linen and presenting bedrooms beautifully
• Providing an evening turn-down service
• Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the home
• Supporting the smooth running of the household, particularly when guests are staying

Candidate Requirements

The family is looking for someone who is discreet, reliable and takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home.

You should have:

• Previous professional housekeeping experience within a private household
• A good understanding of formal household standards
• Excellent checkable references
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail
• A good command of the English language
• Previous hotel experience would be advantageous but is not essential

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly organised Housekeeper seeking a regular two-day-per-week position within a professional private household.
