Burlington Nannies is delighted to be working with a warm and welcoming family in Notting Hill who are seeking an experienced, nurturing and enthusiastic Rota Nanny to care for their 18-month-old twins.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional who genuinely enjoys working with toddlers and is passionate about supporting early childhood development. The family is looking for someone who will bring warmth, creativity, patience and energy to the role, becoming a trusted and valued member of their established childcare team.
The position follows a two weeks on / two weeks off rota, with private accommodation provided while on duty and an excellent salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
The Role
The successful nanny will take responsibility for the daily care, wellbeing and development of the twins, creating a happy, stimulating and nurturing environment in which both children can flourish.
At 18 months old, the twins are at an exciting stage of development, discovering their independence, developing communication skills and exploring the world around them. The family is seeking a nanny who understands the importance of encouraging each child's individual personality and developmental milestones while nurturing their special bond as twins.
You will plan engaging daily activities, organise outings, encourage social interaction and introduce creative learning opportunities through play. Establishing consistent routines around meals, naps and bedtime will also be an important part of the role.
Both parents have demanding professional commitments and occasionally travel for work. The successful candidate must therefore be confident in sole-charge childcare and comfortable providing proxy parenting when required.
The family also has two older children, each cared for by their own rota nanny. Both nannies are very happy in their positions, reflecting the supportive and respectful working environment the family provides.
Key Responsibilities
Providing attentive, loving and consistent care for the 18-month-old twins.
Supporting each child's emotional, physical, social and cognitive development.
Planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and learning.
Organising outings, toddler classes, playgroups and outdoor activities.
Establishing and maintaining healthy routines around meals, naps, play and bedtime.
Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
Managing all nursery duties, including children's laundry, meal preparation and keeping their bedrooms, play areas and belongings organised.
Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and age-appropriate independence.
Recognising and responding to each twin's individual needs, interests and personality.
Maintaining open and regular communication with the parents regarding the children's routines, progress and development.
Providing confident sole-charge care and proxy parenting when required.
Accompanying the family on occasional holidays.
The Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for a genuinely warm, affectionate and emotionally mature nanny who has a natural connection with young children.
You will be playful, creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to turn everyday experiences into valuable learning opportunities. A strong understanding of toddler development is essential, alongside the patience and confidence to manage the individual needs of two young children.
Previous experience caring for twins would be particularly advantageous, although candidates with extensive toddler experience and excellent organisational skills will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a calm, professional approach.
Discretion, reliability and sound judgement are particularly important, as is the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with the wider childcare team.

Essential Requirements
Proven professional experience caring for toddlers, ideally including twins or multiple children of a similar age.
Excellent knowledge of early childhood development and developmental milestones.
Confidence in managing the routines and individual needs of two toddlers.
Fluent English alongside French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.
Experience in sole-charge childcare and confidence providing proxy parenting.
A warm, patient, nurturing and engaging personality.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A proactive, flexible and professional approach.
Willingness to accompany the family on occasional holidays.
A genuine commitment to a long-term position.
The legal right to work in the UK.
Relevant childcare qualifications, current paediatric first aid certification and excellent professional references will be highly valued.
