Burlington Nannies is delighted to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Live-In Nanny or Manny to join a welcoming international family based just outside Milan.
This is a long-term, full-time position caring for six school-aged children within a fully staffed household. The family is seeking a calm, organised and highly professional childcare expert who can confidently support their busy lifestyle and provide loving, structured care for the children.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the household, offering guidance, consistency and exceptional childcare while working alongside a dedicated domestic team.
The Role
Working six days per week, you will support the children's daily routines before and after school, with particular focus on the two youngest children, aged 3 and early primary school age.
During term time, your day begins by helping prepare the children for school before returning in the afternoon to oversee homework, activities, bath and bedtime routines.
When the parents travel, you will confidently step into a proxy parenting role, ensuring the children continue to enjoy stability, routine and attentive care.
A private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is provided within the family's beautiful home near Casatenovo.
International travel forms part of the role, making this an exciting opportunity for a nanny or manny who enjoys working with well-travelled families.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting morning routines, including breakfast, school bags and uniforms
School drop-offs and pick-ups when required
Supervising homework and educational activities
Organising extracurricular activities, playdates and tutoring schedules
Providing hands-on care for the two youngest children
Bath and bedtime routines
Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children
Maintaining the children's bedrooms, bathrooms and play areas
Children's laundry and wardrobe organisation
Sole-charge care for all six children during parental travel
Travelling internationally with the family when required
The Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking an experienced childcare professional who is warm, energetic, adaptable and exceptionally organised.
You should have:
Native or fluent English
Italian language skills (advantageous)
Experience supporting children academically, including homework to GCSE level
A confident and safe driving ability
An EU passport or the legal right to work in Italy
Excellent previous references
A discreet, flexible and proactive approach
A non-smoking lifestyle
Paediatric First Aid certification (preferred)
This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys becoming part of family life while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Fully Staffed Household
The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced household team, including multiple housekeepers, a houseman, gardeners, cook and additional school transport support, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional childcare.
