Burlington Nannies is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a lovely family in Chelsea seeking an experienced, professional Live-in Governess or Governor to support the education and day-to-day care of their two school-aged children.
This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a qualified childcare professional with previous teaching experience who is passionate about children's education, development and wellbeing.
The Role
Working Monday to Friday, your day will begin with the morning routine before supporting school preparation and drop-offs. Following a three-hour break during the afternoon, you will return for the school run, after-school activities, homework support and the evening routine.
There is no weekend work, allowing an excellent work-life balance, while separate private accommodation is provided throughout your employment.

Working Hours: 6:30am–12:00pm, followed by a three-hour afternoon break before returning for the afternoon and evening routine

Responsibilities
Supporting the children's morning and evening routines.
School drop-offs and collections.
Providing educational support and homework assistance.
Encouraging confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
Accompanying the children to after-school activities.
Supporting the eldest child, who is currently being assessed for dyslexia.
Working closely with the parents to provide consistency and structure.
Travelling with the family during school holidays.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Governess, Governor or qualified teacher with a genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
You will be warm, organised, proactive and confident managing both academic support and the children's daily routines. Previous teaching experience within a school environment is highly desirable and will allow you to provide exceptional educational guidance tailored to each child's needs.
Candidate Requirements
Previous teaching experience within a school setting.
Experience working as a Governess, Governor or in a similar educational childcare role.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Warm, professional and proactive.
Comfortable travelling extensively during school holidays.
Comfortable around animals, including the family's dog and guinea pigs.
