Burlington Nannies is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a valued returning client seeking an exceptional, educated and highly experienced Manny/Governor or Nanny/Governess to join their fully staffed household in Kensington. This is a prestigious long-term rota position caring primarily for one child aged 7, with occasional responsibility for siblings aged 4 and 8. There is also a baby in the household, although this child is cared for separately.
The family also owns a countryside residence where they spend school holidays, and occasional international travel may be required.
The Role
This is a two weeks on, two weeks off rota position, with working hours from approximately 6:00am until 8:00–8:30pm, when the children's bedtime routine is complete.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day care, education and development of the family's 7-year-old son, supporting him through his daily routines while encouraging confidence, independence and excellent manners. You will work alongside after-school tutors and a fully staffed household to provide a structured and nurturing environment.
Whilst on duty, you will enjoy your own private two-bedroom apartment located just five minutes from the family home.

Responsibilities
Supporting all morning and evening routines, including washing, dressing and school preparation.
School runs and diary management.
Organising educational activities, outings and playdates.
Wardrobe management.
Encouraging excellent manners, social confidence and positive behaviour.
Supporting homework and liaising with teachers.
Managing the children's administration and schedules.
Supervising mealtimes and serving meals prepared by the family chef.
Encouraging reading and establishing calm bedtime routines.
Working collaboratively with tutors, parents and household staff to ensure consistency and structure.
About You
We are looking for an experienced career Governor, Governess, Manny or Nanny who is passionate about children's education and development.
The ideal candidate will be degree educated, highly organised, confident supporting academic development and able to create a structured yet warm environment. A recognised teaching qualification would be highly advantageous (TEFL alone will not be considered).
As English is not the family's first language, a native English speaker is preferred.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum degree-level education.
Extensive professional experience as a Governor, Governess, Manny or Nanny.
Full, clean driving licence.
Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
Strong academic background with confidence supporting school-aged children.
Teaching qualification highly desirable.
Comfortable working within a formal, fully staffed household.
Flexible to travel when required.
