A professional family relocating to Oxford is seeking an experienced, educated and nurturing Daily Nanny/Governess to care for their two school-aged children.
This is a long-term position ideally suited to a candidate already based in Oxford or the surrounding area who is looking for a daily role combining high-quality childcare with educational support.
Previous teaching experience would be particularly welcomed, although the family will also consider experienced career Nannies/Governesses with a strong educational background and experience supporting school-aged children.

Working Hours
Tuesday to Friday:
The working day will begin at approximately 6:30am. The Nanny/Governess will manage the children's morning routine and preparation for school, working until approximately 12:00pm.
There will then be a three-hour afternoon break, after which the candidate will return for school pick-ups, after-school activities, homework, dinner and the children's evening and bedtime routines.
Evening finish time: 8:00pm.
Saturday:
The children attend school on Saturdays, and the candidate will again have a three-hour break during the day. Saturday will have an earlier finish than Tuesday to Friday, with exact hours to be confirmed.
The Role
The successful candidate will take an active role in the children's day-to-day lives, providing a warm, structured and engaging environment while supporting both their educational and personal development.
The position requires someone who can confidently manage school routines, homework, extracurricular activities and the children's wider schedules while encouraging independence, confidence and curiosity.
The family travels extensively during school holidays and throughout the summer, so the successful candidate must be highly flexible and comfortable accompanying them internationally for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the children's daily routines and school schedules
Supporting homework, additional learning and educational development
Managing school runs and collections
Organising extracurricular activities and appointments
Planning stimulating, engaging and age-appropriate activities
Supporting the children's confidence, independence and curiosity
Managing after-school and evening routines
Accompanying the family on international travel during school holidays
Working collaboratively with the parents and wider household team
Providing consistent, warm and nurturing care for both children
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
Have strong previous experience caring for school-aged children
Have a good educational background, with previous teaching experience highly desirable
Be confident supporting homework and wider academic development
Be organised, proactive and capable of managing busy school and activity schedules
Have a calm, patient, nurturing and engaging approach
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be comfortable working within a fully staffed private household
Be adaptable and able to work collaboratively with parents and other household staff
Be discreet and professional, maintaining the family's privacy at all times
Be flexible and willing to travel internationally for extended periods
Be comfortable working in a household with pets
