Weekend Russian-Speaking Nanny – Holland Park, London

Salary: £60,000 gross per annum
Accommodation: Live-in while on duty, sharing a room with the baby with access to an en-suite bathroom
Additional Cover: 26 weekdays per year

The Role
A professional family based in Holland Park is seeking an experienced and nurturing Russian-speaking Weekend Nanny to care for their two children, aged 8 months and 2½ years.
The primary focus of the position will be the baby, supporting their routine, development, feeding, weaning and sleep. The nanny will also be involved in the care of the older child and will have their monitor overnight.
This is a live-in weekend position from Friday evening through to Monday morning. In addition to the regular weekend schedule, the nanny will be required to provide 26 weekdays of cover per year during the weekday nannies’ annual leave.
The family is looking for someone warm, capable and highly organised who is confident caring for babies and toddlers and comfortable working collaboratively with Mum and the wider household team.
Key Responsibilities
Providing attentive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate care for both children.
Taking particular responsibility for the 8-month-old baby’s routine, feeding, weaning, sleep and general wellbeing.
Supporting the baby’s developmental milestones through age-appropriate play and activities.
Assisting with potty training for the 2½-year-old as required.
Planning engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities and outings.
Maintaining the children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings to a high standard.
Carrying out nursery duties, including the children’s laundry, organising toys and belongings, and keeping their environment tidy and well organised.
Monitoring the older child overnight when required.
Working closely and collaboratively with Mum, with clear communication regarding the children’s routines, development and needs.
Providing an additional 26 weekdays of holiday cover per year for the family’s weekday nannies.
Travelling with the family when required.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Be a fluent Russian speaker.
Have strong, proven experience caring for babies and toddlers, ideally within private households.
Have excellent knowledge and practical experience of weaning and potty training.
Be confident working within a staffed household.
Be comfortable working closely and collaboratively with parents, particularly Mum.
Be warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about supporting children’s development.
Be highly organised, proactive, reliable and discreet.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be flexible and willing to provide the required weekday holiday cover.
Be happy to travel with the family when required.
Be comfortable around animals, as the family has two much-loved cats.
