Full-Time Nanny / Housekeeper / Family Cook – Walthamstow, E17

A warm and welcoming family of five based in Walthamstow is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Nanny / Housekeeper / Family Cook to become a valued part of their household.
This is a varied, hands-on position ideally suited to someone who genuinely enjoys both maintaining a beautifully organised home and supporting school-aged children. The family is looking for a dependable professional who can become their trusted right-hand person and confidently manage the changing demands of family life.
The Role
During the school day, the focus will primarily be on housekeeping, laundry, household organisation and family cooking. From mid-afternoon, the role will transition towards school collections, after-school care and supporting the children with their routines and activities.
Responsibilities will include:
Maintaining the family home to a consistently high standard
Thorough cleaning, laundry, ironing and general household organisation
Planning and preparing fresh, nutritious family meals
Keeping the kitchen, cupboards and fridge clean and well organised
School collections, including a regular 3:25pm collection from a special school in Hackney
Supporting after-school activities and routines
Providing warm, patient and adaptable care for all three children
Offering appropriate support to the family’s sociable and affectionate 12-year-old daughter, who is autistic and has a learning disability and language disorder
Helping to coordinate day-to-day family logistics and adapting confidently when plans change
Working collaboratively with the parents while taking ownership of the role once familiar with the family’s routines
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
An experienced and thorough housekeeper with excellent attention to detail
A confident family cook who is comfortable planning and preparing healthy everyday meals
Warm, patient and genuinely enjoys spending time with children and young people
Comfortable supporting a child with additional needs; previous SEND experience would be advantageous, although a willingness to learn and the right personality are equally important
A confident driver with a full, clean UK driving licence
Exceptionally organised, dependable and able to think ahead
Proactive, practical and naturally inclined to use their initiative
Comfortable receiving clear feedback and direction
Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy family
Seeking a stable, long-term position where they can become an integral part of the household
About the Family
The family has three school-aged children. Their eldest daughter attends a special school in Hackney, while the younger children attend schools closer to the family home in Walthamstow.
The parents are involved, collaborative and keen to find someone who will work alongside them as a genuine right-hand person, helping to keep both the household and the children’s daily routines running smoothly.
