A warm and welcoming family currently based in Chelsea is seeking a professional live-in Nanny or Manny to support their two children, aged 8 and 9, on a full-time, Monday-to-Friday basis.
The family is currently based in Chelsea, where separate accommodation is provided. Next year, the family will be relocating to Oxford, so candidates must be happy to continue with the family following the move and work in Oxford from Monday to Friday. Once the family relocates, the Nanny or Manny will stay at the family home during the working week.
The parents would ideally like someone with a teaching background, or a candidate who is confident supporting the children with their education and homework.
Schedule
The role runs from Monday to Friday.
Working hours are from 6:30am until 12:00pm, followed by a three-hour break in the afternoon. You will then return for the school run, after-school activities, dinner and the children’s bedtime routine.
There is no weekend work.
The Children
You will be responsible for the daily care, routines and educational support of two school-aged children.
The eldest child is currently being assessed for dyslexia, so a candidate with a teaching background or relevant educational experience would be particularly well suited to the position.
The role will include:
Managing the children’s morning and school routines
School runs and accompanying them to activities
Supporting homework and educational development
Planning age-appropriate activities
Preparing meals for the children
Managing the children’s wardrobes, laundry and belongings
Maintaining organised bedrooms and play areas
Supporting evening and bedtime routines
Packing and preparing for family travel
Location, Travel and Household
The family is currently based in Chelsea, London, and will be relocating to Oxford next year. Candidates must therefore be comfortable with the location change and happy to work in Oxford from Monday to Friday once the family moves.
In Chelsea, separate accommodation is provided. Following the move to Oxford, the Nanny or Manny will stay at the family home during the working week.
The family travels during every school holiday and throughout the summer, so candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively with them.
The family also has a dog and two guinea pigs, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working in a household with animals.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal Nanny or Manny will be:
Experienced in caring for school-aged children
From a teaching or educational background, or confident providing academic support
Warm, organised and proactive
Confident supporting a child who may have dyslexia
Happy to relocate with the role from Chelsea to Oxford next year
Comfortable staying at the family home in Oxford from Monday to Friday
Comfortable travelling extensively with the family
Comfortable around dogs and other pets
Able to manage the children’s routines with consistency and initiative
Seeking a long-term position with a welcoming family
