Live-Out Housekeeper / Cook – Kensington, London
Location: Kensington, London (5-minute walk from South Kensington Underground Station)
Salary: £50,000 gross per annum (negotiable for an exceptional candidate)

Burlington Nannies is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious fully staffed private household in Kensington for an experienced Housekeeper / Cook.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a professional household team within a beautiful four-storey family residence. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced House Manager, three Nannies, five Housekeepers, two Private Chefs, three Drivers, a Security Team and a Personal Assistant, maintaining the highest standards expected within a luxury family home.
About the Role
The family is ideally seeking a candidate who can combine excellent housekeeping skills with confident breakfast preparation.
Your primary cooking responsibilities will be preparing breakfast for the children each morning, including dishes such as eggs, smoothies, granola and other healthy breakfast options, together with light assistance preparing lunch. The family's Private Chefs will provide full training on the family's preferred recipes and presentation standards.
If the family is unable to find a suitable Housekeeper/Cook, they would also consider an exceptional Housekeeper with outstanding private household experience.
Working Hours
Preferred Housekeeper/Cook Position
Monday to Friday
6:15am – 3:00pm
Should the family appoint a Housekeeper only, the position will become part of the existing housekeeping rota, with rotating shifts of:
8:00am – 5:00pm
9:00am – 6:00pm
10:00am – 7:00pm
Weekend cover may occasionally be required as part of the household rota.
Housekeeping Responsibilities
Maintaining the residence to exceptional five-star standards.
Daily cleaning, polishing and presentation throughout the four-storey home.
Caring for fine furniture, antiques, artwork, marble, stone and silver.
Laundry, ironing, hand-washing and specialist garment care.
Changing bed linen and managing household linens.
Flower arranging and maintaining fresh floral displays.
Working closely with the wider household team to ensure seamless daily operations.
Cooking Responsibilities
Preparing nutritious breakfasts for the children each morning.
Assisting with light lunch preparation.
Learning the family's preferred recipes from the Private Chefs.
Maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and presentation standards.
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly organised, energetic and proactive professional with previous experience working in luxury private households.
You'll take genuine pride in maintaining immaculate standards, work well as part of a larger team and possess a positive, can-do attitude.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within a UHNW private household or similarly high-end environment.
Exceptional housekeeping skills.
Confident preparing healthy breakfasts and light lunches (or outstanding housekeeping experience if applying for the Housekeeper-only option).
Experience caring for luxury interiors, delicate fabrics, artwork and antiques.
Physically fit and comfortable working within a large residence.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Professional, discreet and reliable.
Comfortable working around children and family pets.
