A Wonderful Long-Term Opportunity in Putney

Burlington Nannies is delighted to be assisting a lovely family in Putney with their search for an experienced, warm and engaging Daily Nanny to care for their two boys, aged 8 years and 5 months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny who genuinely loves what they do and is looking to establish a lasting relationship with a family. The parents are hoping to welcome someone nurturing, cheerful, organised and confident, who will bring warmth, creativity and a positive energy into their home.

The eldest boy is happy, sociable and active, with a love of sports, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts. He attends a local school just a ten-minute walk from the family home. During school hours, your main focus will be the baby, ensuring he enjoys a loving, stimulating and well-structured daily routine.

The Role

This is a sole-charge position requiring an experienced nanny who is comfortable managing both children's routines independently, anticipating their needs and taking initiative throughout the day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing attentive, nurturing and age-appropriate care for both boys.

  • Managing the baby's feeding, sleeping, developmental activities and outings.

  • Handling school drop-offs and collections.

  • Supporting homework, arranging playdates and coordinating after-school activities.

  • Planning creative, educational and enjoyable experiences for both children.

  • Completing all nursery duties and maintaining organised children's spaces.

  • Preparing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children.

  • Cooking additional portions of simple family meals for the parents to enjoy upon returning home.

  • Undertaking occasional proxy parenting and babysitting, with reasonable advance notice.

  • Accompanying the family on occasional holidays.

The Ideal Candidate

The family would love to meet a nanny who combines extensive childcare experience with a naturally warm, happy and approachable personality.

You will be someone who is:

  • Highly experienced with both infants and school-aged children.

  • Gentle, nurturing and genuinely passionate about children's development.

  • Bubbly, positive and fun-loving, with a naturally easy-going manner.

  • Calm, patient and reassuring when needed.

  • Creative, enthusiastic and proactive in planning activities.

  • Mature, responsible and confident working in a sole-charge capacity.

  • Organised, adaptable and comfortable managing a busy family routine.

  • A confident cook who enjoys preparing wholesome family meals.

  • Reliable, discreet and committed to building a trusting relationship with the family.

  • Seeking a stable, rewarding and long-term position.

A confident driver would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Opportunity

Offering a competitive salary of £55,000–£65,000 gross per annum, this Monday-to-Friday position provides an excellent opportunity to become a valued and trusted part of a welcoming family.

The parents are looking for someone who will take genuine pride in their role, form meaningful bonds with their children and become a reassuring, consistent presence in their lives for years to come.

If you are an experienced, enthusiastic nanny with a warm heart, a positive outlook and a genuine passion for childcare, Burlington Nannies would be delighted to hear from you.
