Burlington Nannies is delighted to be assisting a warm, active and well-established family in Kensington with the appointment of an experienced Weekend Nanny.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a confident, energetic and professional nanny who enjoys working with school-aged children and thrives in a lively, well-organised family home.
The family has five children, ranging in age from 14 months to 11 years. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the three older children, aged 7 to 11, while the younger two are cared for by the family's rota nannies.
The Role
Working alongside the parents, rota nannies and wider household team, you will play an important part in ensuring the children's weekends are happy, engaging and well structured.
The family leads an active, sporty lifestyle and would welcome a nanny who shares their enthusiasm for outdoor activities, encourages independence and brings creativity and initiative to everyday routines.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing attentive, age-appropriate care for the three older children.
Planning and organising stimulating weekend activities, outings and sporting pursuits.
Supporting the children's routines and encouraging good manners, independence and positive behaviour.
Assisting with homework and educational activities where required.
Coordinating weekend arrangements with the parents and household team.
Maintaining clear communication and a flexible, cooperative approach.
Accompanying the family on occasional international trips.
Providing additional childcare cover during agreed periods throughout the year.
Working Hours & Remuneration
Regular weekend schedule:
Friday: 2:00pm–8:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am–8:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am–8:00pm
The position is primarily live-out, although very occasional live-in weekends may be required.
In addition to the regular weekend schedule, the nanny will provide six full weeks of cover annually, potentially increasing to ten weeks depending on the family's holiday arrangements and staffing requirements.
Salary: £49,000 gross per annum for weekends, increasing to £56,000 gross per annum when covering ten additional weeks during the year.
The Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking a nanny who is naturally warm, confident and capable, with the energy and enthusiasm to keep up with three active school-aged children.

Proven experience caring for school-aged children within private households.
A positive, energetic and engaging personality.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to take initiative.
Confidence managing multiple children and coordinating busy schedules.
A genuine interest in sports, outdoor activities and children's development.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a fully staffed household.
Flexibility to travel internationally and provide additional annual cover.
A professional, discreet and dependable manner.
A confident driver would be preferred, although this is not essential.
There are no pets in the household.
