Rota Nannies – Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

Burlington Nannies is delighted to be assisting a new private client in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, with the recruitment of two experienced Rota Nannies to care for their four-month-old baby.
This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for warm, professional and experienced career nannies who genuinely enjoy caring for babies and supporting their early development. The successful candidates will join a fully staffed, welcoming household where they can focus entirely on providing attentive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate care.
Position Details
Location: Walton-on-Thames, Surrey
Salary: £65,000–£75,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
Schedule: One- or two-week rotation
Working Hours: 12 hours per day, with flexibility required
Accommodation: Live-out for local candidates or a private bedroom and bathroom provided while on duty
Children: Primary responsibility for a four-month-old baby
Languages: Excellent English essential; fluent Russian highly advantageous
Start Date: To be agreed
Travel: Occasional travel required
The Role
The successful nannies will take sole charge of the baby during their respective rotations, providing consistent, loving and attentive care in a calm and nurturing environment.
The family is looking for experienced professionals who understand the importance of establishing healthy routines while remaining responsive to a baby's individual needs and developmental progress.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing attentive, age-appropriate care for the baby throughout the day
Establishing and maintaining healthy sleep and feeding routines
Supporting the introduction of solids and the weaning process when developmentally appropriate
Planning stimulating activities to encourage sensory, physical, emotional and cognitive development
Encouraging developmental milestones through play, interaction and exploration
Maintaining clear communication and consistency between rota partners
Working collaboratively with the parents and wider household team
Accompanying the family on occasional travel
Undertaking proxy parenting responsibilities when required
The household is fully staffed, with housekeepers responsible for the baby's laundry and a private chef preparing meals, including those for the nanny while on duty. No nursery or domestic duties are required, allowing the nannies to dedicate their time and attention entirely to the baby's care and development.
The family also has three older school-aged children.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking accomplished career nannies with substantial, recent experience caring for babies and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
The ideal candidates will be warm, calm and naturally nurturing, with a relaxed yet professional approach. They should be quietly confident in their abilities, able to use their initiative and comfortable working within an established household team.
Previous experience in ultra-high-net-worth households is essential, along with a clear understanding of discretion, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
The family would particularly welcome candidates who are fluent in Russian, although this is not essential.
Essential Requirements
Extensive, recent experience caring for babies
Strong knowledge of infant sleep, feeding, weaning and early-years development
Previous experience working in an ultra-high-net-worth private household
Confidence working within a fully staffed household
A calm, adaptable and professional approach
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a rota partner
Flexibility to travel occasionally and undertake proxy parenting
Excellent spoken English
Legal right to work in the UK
A clean, up-to-date DBS check
Excellent, verifiable professional references
