The Opportunity
Burlington Nannies is delighted to be working with a lovely European family based in the beautiful Cayman Islands, who are seeking an experienced, warm and energetic Live-in Nanny to care for their two children, a boy and a girl aged 9 and 11.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a confident, enthusiastic and engaging nanny who genuinely enjoys working with school-aged children and would love to become a valued part of a warm, active and sociable family.
Both children attend school full-time and are bright, outgoing and full of energy. They enjoy a wonderful variety of interests, including water sports, horse riding, cycling and creative activities.
The family are hoping to find someone who can bring a lovely balance of fun, structure and encouragement to the children's daily lives, while acting as a positive role model and supporting their continued development and independence.
The Role
Your responsibilities will centre around providing attentive, engaging and developmentally appropriate care for both children.
Mornings will involve supporting the children with their daily routines, ensuring they are organised, prepared and ready for school.
In the afternoons, you will manage school collections and oversee their after-school routines, including homework, extracurricular activities, playdates, dinner times and bedtime.
The family are particularly keen to find a nanny who takes a genuine interest in the children's hobbies and passions, encouraging them to explore new interests, build confidence and make the most of the fantastic outdoor lifestyle the Cayman Islands has to offer.
You will be responsible for planning stimulating activities, organising outings and playdates, and creating an enjoyable yet structured environment in which the children can thrive.
This is a fully staffed household, and there are no housekeeping, nursery duties or cooking responsibilities. Your sole focus will be on the children's care, happiness, development and overall wellbeing.
The family also enjoy travelling internationally, and the successful candidate will be expected to accompany them on family holidays.
The Ideal Candidate
The family are seeking a warm, educated, proactive and naturally engaging nanny who has a genuine passion for working with older children.
You will ideally:
Have proven experience caring for school-aged children, preferably of a similar age.
Be well-educated and confident supporting homework, learning and academic development.
Be active, energetic and enthusiastic about outdoor pursuits and adventures.
Have a creative approach to planning activities, outings and playdates.
Be highly organised, reliable and confident managing the children's daily routines.
Understand the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries while creating a warm, positive and enjoyable environment.
Be a strong and confident swimmer, given the children's love of beaches, swimming and water sports.
Be comfortable around animals, as the family have two much-loved cats and a dog.
Be flexible and happy to travel internationally with the family.
Be confident working within a fully staffed private household.
Have a positive, adaptable and professional approach, with the ability to build a trusting and lasting relationship with the family.
